Juan Tapias is a Colombian photographer based in Bogotá, Colombia. Tapias is a documentary and conceptual photographer whose work explores everyday narratives of human life, culture, and its impact on the built environment. He is trained as an architect. Throughout his practice, he explores urban development, gender, and its impact in conservative societies like Colombia. In addition, he is very interested in exploring the daily experiences of living, including consumption overflow and human experiences.
 

He has collaborated with different Colombian and international publications and research projects in university institutions.
